Umpire Training for the 2025 Season.

Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, March 5th in the Meeting Room above the Affton Hockey Rink from 6:30-8:30 pm.  During this meeting we will be going over a lot of important items, including expectations, pay, bonuses, referral program, our NEW assistant UIC opportunities and necessary paperwork.  Any new umpire under the age of 16 is encouraged to have a parent attend, as well, to ensure expectations will be clear and so we can answer any questions they may have.

We will have 3 additional training meetings every Wednesday in March (12th, 19th, 26th) at the same place and time.  Subsequent meetings will focus on the basics of umpiring, rules/rules interpretations and mechanics. These meetings will be extremely helpful to new umpires and a great refresher for our returning umpires.  Additionally, we are working to have practice games before the season starts for us to umpire.
